Dialogue-15: Keep (on)

Keep (on) + gerund ( – in present) Kept (on) + gerund ( – in past) ‘On’ is optional to apply after keep/kept I kept working throughout the night. Keep moving. He kept climbing the hill. Keep watching the program, don't go anywhere. Keep on playing, don't lose courage. Keep writing to us. He kept dragging his wife, but nobody came to her rescue. She keeps on smiling. She kept mopping. In spite of my advice, they kept demolishing the wall. We kept trying to save her. I keep on fearing the whole period. I kept awake to learn my lesson at night.
